The Scout T-18 minitractor can be called a new product on the market, since mass production of this model was launched recently. The tractor belongs to the segment of 18-horsepower special vehicles, but it has very compact dimensions and increased efficiency, which is typical only for equipment with a capacity of 10-15 horsepower. Unlike its predecessor, the machine has increased power and expanded operational capabilities, which makes the mini tractor quite a serious competitor in the market.

During development, the manufacturer placed the main emphasis on performance indicators, thanks to which the machine can quite easily cope with very labor-intensive agricultural and municipal tasks.

Among the model range of the manufacturer Scout, the T-18 is the only vehicle on which it was originally planned to install dual rear wheels, but as testing showed, such a solution would not always be effective and therefore single wheels with wide tires were installed instead. The rear wheels have a dimension of 9.50-R16, which guarantees high maneuverability, optimal weight distribution throughout the structure, and also improves maneuverability. For example, wheels size 6.50-R16 are 35 percent inferior in this indicator. But besides all this, the installation of larger wheels led to a decrease in vibrations, which had a positive effect on the driver’s work comfort.

Purpose

The Scout T-18 minitractor can carry out complete cultivation of a land plot of up to three hectares. With a minimal set of attachments, the machine plows various soils, processes planted plants, harvests and transports grown products for further processing.

Also, this mini tractor can provide significant assistance in weeding vegetables and various grain crops, hilling, fertilizing and watering, and in preparing various feeds. Due to its compact dimensions, the model is often used in hard-to-reach street and courtyard areas, where it removes snow and debris.

The tractor is equipped with a locking center differential, which, together with the increased ground clearance and deep tread of the tires used, has significantly increased cross-country ability. Due to this, the mini tractor can process low-growing plants and also work on heavy soils.

Starting is carried out using an electric starter, which is recharged from a regular car battery. The presence of 3 forward gears and 1 reverse allows you to maneuver. Moreover, the mini tractor can accelerate forward up to 17 km/h.

The Scout T-18 minitractor is well worth the investment. Running in the model will require special attention, since my gearbox began to leak at this stage. The standard electric generator was also replaced, because as I noticed, the current power from the first generator was not enough to charge the battery. The tractor is very good at working with a plow and cultivator.
I myself am not the owner of such a tractor, but I once came across it at work. At first glance, the technology is very good and reliable, which is exactly what turned out to be the case. I worked on it for a month and had only good impressions.
