A mini-tractor is understood as a multifunctional universal machine that can perform a fairly large number of tasks on small plots of land such as cultivating an agricultural plot, sowing, harvesting and some utility work. Another task of a mini tractor is to transport various loads. When installing additional equipment (modules) on the tractor, it can solve a number of other tasks: woodworking, drilling, hole digging, etc.

The layout of the mini tractor is almost the same as that of its larger brother, but the main difference is the internal combustion engine of lower power. Typically, mini tractors use internal combustion engines with a capacity of 8 to 50 hp. With. However, a mini tractor with a VAZ engine (from a car, for example, VAZ-2106) will be more powerful, although it is made in small dimensions. The owner and designer of the unusual tractor, Stanislav Iosifovich, is happy about our visit, but is noticeably modest. The “PR” of his creation is handled by his daughter, without whose support the tractor might not have been known outside the small town. “It seems that MTZ has a worthy competitor” - these are the thoughts that appear when you first get acquainted with a tractor, which is usually assembled in a garage filled to the brim with various spare parts.

“I took up this because I had nothing better to do; I’ve been retired for seven years now. I’ve been collecting for two years, and it will probably take the same amount of time to complete the work. Everything is still “raw” here.

— First I welded the frame. I used a “ten” channel, frames from old beds and discarded heated towel rails. I work as a plumber myself - this is enough goodness. People throw away, but I collect. I started work at random, there were no drawings, no plans - everything was in my head. I tried to make it level and symmetrical - that’s all.

“Then I installed the bridges.” “Niva” served as the “donor”. The struts were found from Opel, the steering wheel and rack were from Honda. The tank became an ordinary 20 liter canister - there is no other way here. The Zhiguli's consumption is about 10 liters, so there is no need to refuel often. Of course, it was not without money: the wheels alone cost 600 thousand - they were “mounted” on Zhiguli wheels. There are disc brakes at the front and regular brakes at the rear. There's even a handbrake! There were no difficulties at any stage. What's the main thing? Measure and do.

— I want to make the tractor universal. The “shovel” at the front is homemade, called “winter-summer”. The lower metal part is used to level roads. And the top one, with an elastic band, is already for winter, so that snow can be removed without damaging the asphalt underneath.

— There will be a cultivator behind. Over time I will install special peaks. They will rotate and loosen the ground at a depth of 30 centimeters. The structure is driven by chains - nothing complicated. But then I’ll close them so that dirt doesn’t get in. Here is also a tooth attachment: tear off ice, if necessary, or asphalt.

— There are two boxes installed: from Lada and from BMW. The transfer case is from Niva. In total, it turns out to be 60 passes. Why so much? For example, I need the tractor to drive slowly and the cultivator to rotate quickly.

— Development plans will last for another year and a half. The base is already ready, but it needs to be put in order. It is normal to lay the wiring, sew up the fenders and the floor. There is metal, there is welding - you just need to do it. There will be no doors at all. I’ll put up the windshield and pull up the awning so that nothing drips on my head. In addition to the peak for loosening the soil, I will install a mini-excavator in the free space behind. There will be interchangeable buckets: wide, narrow, small... I plan to make the reach three meters - it should be enough for my needs.

“In general, nothing special,” the inventor is modest again. — The first time I went out properly was about six months ago, in the winter, I cleaned the road myself. There were people who wanted to buy, they offered $15,000.

Stanislav Iosifovich just grins at a joke about a profitable business. Even though this is just a hobby, in today’s realities there is no need to think far: the designer does not renounce the possible sale of the tractor if necessary.

We study the “interior”: “Zhiguli” panel, steering wheel from Opel. The outline of the hood with the “light” is recognizable as a BMW - it turned out to be left over from my daughter’s car. The headlight housing is from a tractor, but guess what their “filling” is? That's right, “Zhigulevskaya”! The “dimensions” came from MAZ. All this is not just for beauty, but really works. As the designer noted, someday the tractor will be registered with the traffic police. The controls are also no different from those of a passenger car.

— This is not my first invention. There is also an electric cultivator at the dacha. It is also assembled from spare parts from Zhiguli cars: you press a button and it cultivates the land itself. A depth and direction stabilizer is installed; only if it gets stuck, it needs a push.

According to Stanislav Iosifovich, gasoline in the blood is already a family thing, and the main support comes from his daughter: “I remember, I put her behind the wheel, I said: go. And she cries - it doesn’t work. Then how I got involved! The first Mercedes quickly sold out. And now just have time to pay the fines.”
