Currently, logging is carried out using two main technologies: cut-to-length (Scandinavian) and long-length (Canadian). In this regard, JSC AMKODOR, the holding’s management company, has machines for both technologies in its production program.

Assortment technology is based on the use of a complex of forestry machines, consisting of a harvester and a forwarder. Harvesters are used for felling trees, trimming branches and cutting into logs. Forwarders are used to perform technological operations for collecting, sorting and delivering logs to warehouses or logging roads.

To grow a forest to a mature state, it is necessary to regularly carry out thinning (lighting, clearing, thinning, through-cutting, sanitary cutting). For this purpose, the Amkodor holding has logging machines for thinning:

  • harvester Amkodor 2531 paired with forwarder Amkodor 2631;
  • harvester Amkodor 2541 paired with forwarder Amkodor 2641 or Amkodor 2661-01.

For clear cutting of forests (final felling), powerful logging machines are offered:

  • harvester Amkodor 2551 paired with forwarders Amkodor 2661-01, Amkodor 2662, Amkodor 2662-01 or Amkodor 2682-01.

Whiplash technology is based on the use of skidding machines. AMKODOR Holding offers the following models:

  • skidding tractor Amkodor 2243, equipped with a manipulator and a clamp;
  • skidding tractor Amkodor 2243V (choker), as well as skidding machine Amkodor 2242V (choker).

These machines ensure the collection and delivery of logs from the cutting site to the intermediate storage or loading area.

The Amkodor 2904 chipper is designed for chopping round timber, logging waste and low-quality wood raw materials into chips for subsequent use as fuel.

For loading round timber onto vehicles, stacking, unloading timber transport, and dismantling stacks, the Amkodor 352L timber loader and the Amkodor 371AC universal loader, equipped with a jaw grip, are produced. For loading chips and sawdust, these machines are equipped with special buckets.
