In agriculture, the use of loading and unloading equipment is one of the main conditions for conducting agricultural activities. However, most machines of this type, such as, for example, grab loaders-excavators of the PE-F, PEA “Kolomiets” type, have a limited scope of application, and it is almost impossible to load them one hundred percent within a year, because their capabilities are compared to modern loaders with a telescopic boom are significantly limited.
The range of work that this machine performs on the farm today is simply impossible to list. These machines are capable of performing any job: loading (unloading), transporting (moving) goods, warehousing, cleaning roads and premises, working at heights, forming silo pits and compacting them, etc.
This versatility of the telescopic loader is ensured by a wide range of interchangeable attachments, which can be used with minimal time and effort. For agriculture, the most popular types of attachments are:
— Grain bucket for loading grain;
— Forks for removing manure and cleaning livestock farms;
— Hooks for bales when collecting them on the field, loading them onto vehicles, unloading and storing various feed packaged in bales;

JCB telehandler - famous British
This company was one of the first in the world to develop and master the production of telescopic manipulators and today produces high-tech machines. The family of JCB telehandlers of this type received the symbolic name LoadAll, which literally translates as “load is everything”. This name, despite its laconicism, is very apt, since it truly reflects their enormous capabilities.
The loaders in this series include more than 25 models that are part of JSB's line of agricultural equipment and are specifically designed for agriculture and are not an upgrade to construction equipment. Therefore, you can be sure that such a loader will be able to handle any task, because the load capacity of these manipulators is within a wide range - from 2 to 9.5 tons.
The advantages of the machines of this company include high transport speed (25-40 km/h), the ability to change gears under load, disc “wet” brakes on the front and rear axles, planetary final drives, axial differentials for proportional torque distribution, the presence of a controlled cabin of the mounting unit for replaceable working parts.
JCB telehandlers are equipped with in-house developed and manufactured Dieselmax engines, which are paired with various types of transmissions. Thus, Agri / Agri Plus machines are equipped with a JCB transmission with power shifting. This transmission includes a torque converter, a final drive housing and a four-speed gearbox (four forward gears and four reverse gears) with power shifting. Gear shifting occurs using a joystick. With this configuration, a maximum speed of 33 km/h is achieved, and in this case there is another advantage - permanent drive.
With the Agri Super, we get a six-speed transmission, which also includes a torque converter, final drive housing and a six-speed powershift gearbox. With this configuration, the transmission can be equipped with a TorqueLock torque converter locking system in fifth and sixth gears. The maximum speed is 40 km/h, the drive is possible on two or four wheels. This solution allows, in addition to the ability to quickly move along public roads during transportation, also reduce fuel consumption by avoiding slipping of the torque converter and transferring full engine power to the wheels.
Most models have the ability to select one of three control modes:
- classic - one axis,
- 4WD-four-wheel steering,
- "crab" move.
The base of the JSB loader boom is a solid U-shaped blank, covered on top with a flat sheet. This design gives the arrow additional reliability and strength.
Engine
As standard, Jisibi 535 is equipped with a Dieselmax engine with power characteristics of 63 kW or 85 horsepower. All units are of high quality and durability. The torque increases smoothly, which eliminates jerks during operation and movement of the machine, guarantees the stability of the traction force at any speed, including at its minimum value.

MF9000 Series Strongmen
Loading, unloading and transporting with Massey Ferguson telehandlers is no problem today. This type of machine has long continued to be an integral part of the complete line of farm equipment throughout the world. The new 9000 Series is a combination of modern design and innovative engineering for which Massey Ferguson is renowned. The named series is intended not only for loading large quantities of materials, but also for transporting and transporting it around the territory of the facility where the loader operates. Therefore, for most farms involved, in particular, in livestock farming, a loader can be one of the main machines that performs most of the work.
The MF 9000 series of loaders includes both the compact MF 9306 with an engine power of 100 hp. With. and a lifting capacity of 3000 kg, as well as the strong MF 9407 and MF 9407S with a power of 130 hp. With. and a load capacity of 3500 kg. All models in this series are equipped with four-cylinder Perkins 1104D-TA and 1104D-ETA (MF9407S) engines. These engines have a larger and improved engine cooling system, which guarantees continuous high performance even in difficult indoor conditions. And placing the engine along the frame not only provides additional space for the boom without obstructing inspection, but also makes it easier to service and repair. It provides driving speeds of up to 40 km/h and has two ranges with two additional gears in each of them. It is also equipped with a creeper for selecting low speed at high engine speeds.
All telehandler models except the MF9407S have an open center hydraulic system. And this model features a load sensing pump that can deliver up to 190 liters of oil per minute, unrivaled in its class and providing superior capability and performance even at low engine speeds. So, you can operate at significantly lower speeds, saving fuel and using noticeably fewer duty cycles. The load sensing pump supplies oil only when hydraulic power is required. This eliminates unwanted heating of the oil and reduces power loss.
On all models you can select one of three control modes:
- classic - one axis,
- 4WD-four-wheel steering (track to track),
- crab move.
Thanks to the narrow frame and wide steering angle, the turning radius is just 3.7 m, so the 9000 Series loaders provide unrivaled maneuverability, while the 2.87 m wheelbase (10 cm longer than competitors) increases the smoothness and stability of the machine while working.
As additional equipment, the manufacturer offers the ability to install a hydraulic lock of working equipment, a reversible fan, a hydraulically driven hook, a boom suspension, air conditioning, speakers, roof wipers, and air seat suspension. The machine is equipped with a supporting frame consisting of two parts connected by a hinge. This arrangement allows telescopic equipment to maneuver in confined spaces with the same efficiency that characterizes front loading and unloading equipment. The transmission has the ability to be forcibly turned off by the operator, this allows all the power from the power plant to be redirected to the boom mechanism.

At the same time, the technology also has disadvantages that reduce operator comfort:
- The door opens only 90 degrees. When carrying out work operations, the door must be closed, as a result of which the cabin becomes stuffy. This drawback can be corrected by installing an air conditioning system, which is an option;
- the high entrance to the cabin is a consequence of the installation of rubberized inserts around the perimeter in order to reduce vibration in the cabin. To access the workplace, the operator needs to use a step, which is not always convenient.
However, despite these shortcomings, the machine is characterized by high efficiency, reliability, stability, maneuverability and versatility.

Claas telehandlers - a jack of all trades
Scorpion telescopic loaders from Claas successfully complement the range of equipment from this manufacturer.
The basis of the loader is a solid frame of a new shape, which provides Scorpion with a low center of gravity, and the box-shaped design gives the machine rigidity and stability in any operating conditions. The telescopic boom is “planted” deep into the frame and is ideally supported by six guides.
Scorpion is characterized by high lifting capacity with maximum boom reach. The lifting height of these machines ranges from 6.15 to 8.75 m, and the maximum lifting capacity also varies widely and ranges from 3.0 to 5.5 tons.
All machines of this type at Claas are equipped with four-cylinder Deutz engines, which have high power and low fuel consumption when performing agricultural work. Depending on the model (and the Ukrainian market offers eight options), telescopic loaders can be equipped with engines with power ranging from 122 to 156 hp.
The machines are equipped with a continuously variable transmission, the “heart” of which is a Varipower gearbox with a hydraulic motor that can be rotated at an angle of 45 °. This allows the Scorpion to reach a top speed of 40 km/h without changing gears, with constant automatic matching of speed and traction. The manufacturer offers these transmissions with maximum speed options of 20, 30 and 40 km/h.
By simply pressing the keys located on the joystick, you can select three ranges of movement, namely: “snail” (0-7 km/h), “tortoise” (0-15) and “hare” (0-30/40 km/h). h). When changing the range, the maximum speed of movement changes accordingly, and with it the sensitivity of the Scorpion ground drive.
Like most machines of this type, they are controlled in three modes:
- Front wheels;
- All wheels;
- "Crab" move.
The maximum driving speed when steering the front wheels is 40 or 30 km/h, depending on the equipment version. When driving all wheels, the maximum speed is 30 km/h, and with “crab” driving – no more than 15 km/h.
Changing the control mode is done by simply pressing the control mode switch and then turning it, which can be done at any time. The switch is located directly behind the joystick, which is quite convenient for operation.
Attachments
The machine can be equipped with 20 types of additional working parts, which increase the versatility of the loader. With their help, special equipment easily manipulates pallet materials, bulk and other construction materials. Changing working equipment does not take much time, which reduces downtime and increases the volume of work performed.
