On September 3, as part of the COMTRANS-2019 exhibition, the Award Ceremony for the winners of the “Best Commercial Vehicle of the Year in Russia” competition took place. In the “Truck of the Year” category, the prize went to the Ford Trucks F-MAX truck tractor. The Chairman of the Competition jury, Alexander Solntsev, editor-in-chief of ComTrans magazine, presented the prestigious award to the Managing Director of Ford Trucks - Russia Bahadir Koch. What is the F-MAX mod? This is a project initiated by two experienced mod makers for the Euro Truck Simulator 2 player community. In this project, the Ford Trucks F-MAX truck model is designed in detail both inside and outside. It will be transferred to ETS 2 with the same quality and will be published on the SimulasyonTURK page (fmax.simulasyonturk.com) when everything is ready and open to everyone. The project strives to be an example in all aspects. This is a detailed mod project for passionate ETS2 players.
What is the Ford Trucks Dealer and Test Area? In addition to the F-MAX mod truck, trucks will be available for purchase at the Ford Trucks dealer. A test area was designed as an addition to this gallery. However, this challenge area will be added when the Thracian Region of Turkey expansion comes out with the Road to the Black Sea DLC expansion pack. The Ford Trucks dealer is located in Berlin on the main ETS 2 map. You can purchase the truck there.
Who works with the F-MAX mod? Emre Aydin and Bertan Badaj are responsible for the interior and exterior modeling of the F-MAX truck model. The marketing of the F-MAX fashion is managed by Hasan Elmaz Ofke. The mod will be published for free in SimülasyonTÜRK.
What software is used in the project? In the Ford Trucks F-MAX mod project, models are drawn in Autodesk 3DS Max. Adobe Photoshop, DXTBMP and Zmodeler3, Blender are used for the game stages.
Why free? We want everyone to try the F-MAX truck mod. We know that people of all ages play ETS 2, and we believe that such an attractive model is not limited to ETS 2 players. We understand that a real car is being simulated. We strive to reach even those who have never played ETS 2 before. We want to introduce this mod project, created in Turkey and prepared by Turkish modders for Euro Truck Simulator 2, to all players.
How will the F-MAX mod be distributed? The ETS 2 F-MAX mod will be published on fmax.simulasyonturk.com. You will be able to download the mod pack with all of them at the same time for free. That's why we think about dedicated download servers. It will not be distributed on advertised sites or otherwise. This will be the only address for exchange. For new versions and features, you will use one source. We don't want the same file to be uploaded to another site again. To fix the current version and improve the mod, we want the main source address to be available everywhere and to the hundreds of thousands of players who will download the mod.
Will you share with the Steam Workshop? The answer to the previous question also applies here. The F-MAX mod will be distributed in two ways. One is usually downloading and uploading to your ETS 2 documents folder, and the other is sharing in the Steam Workshop, which offers great convenience. Note: Publishing to the Steam Workshop may not be available during the first week of release.
Will F-MAX be adapted to new versions of the game? The F-MAX mod will always be compatible with the latest version of ETS 2. It will also be adapted to new game features.
Will detailed simulation cause delays in the game? No. F-MAX model drawings are redrawn separately in both high and low quality. Emre Aydin and Bertan Badaj have experience in both programs and use the transfer phase. So this will be a fully optimized and hassle-free car mod.

Turbotrucks (part of TH Group) presented an exposition of commercial trucks at the COMTRANS exhibition, presenting the latest Ford Trucks F-MAX truck tractor, produced at the AVTOTOR plant, and combining innovation, technology, as well as homeliness and comfort for the driver. 500 hp Ford Trucks F-MAX truck equipped with a 12.7 liter Ecotorq engine. and a modern 12-speed automated transmission ZF Traxon, is equipped with a 2.5-meter wide cabin in which all conditions are created to perform the tasks assigned to the driver. The flagship F-MAX tractor, thanks to a flat floor with a ceiling height of 2160 mm, is incredibly convenient for both work and rest: spacious storage spaces, airplane-type drawers, two berths, the top of which folds 90 degrees, without complicating your stay inside the tractor, a refrigerator and two autonomous heaters are already included in the vehicle, produced in Russia. The convenience of the F-MAX truck tractor comes from Ford Trucks engineers' attention to detail. For example, for additional driver comfort, the upper step is protected by a rubber seal in the door that prevents moisture and dirt from getting onto the driver’s street shoes.
At the Ford Trucks stand, located in Hall No. 14, the Ford Trucks 1848T is presented - a powerful and reliable truck tractor for regional transportation. Tested by many Russian customers, the truck produced at the AVTOTOR plant has already joined the fleets of large Russian enterprises. It is equipped with a 480-horsepower Ecotorq engine and a manual 16-speed ZF gearbox. As an option, the 1848T truck tractor can be equipped with a Traxon automated transmission. A balanced and reliable power line allows the tractor to successfully solve various logistics tasks.
The Ford Trucks 1833 chassis, presented in combination with a day cab and a Fassi crane superstructure, is, in turn, universal. It can be used for the installation of superstructures for various applications: from manufactured goods vans to garbage trucks, from fuel tankers to flatbed platforms. On display at the stand is a truck with a Fassi crane and a 6200 mm long flatbed. The tractor has excellent aerodynamics (an adjustable spoiler with side deflectors on the roof, as well as side fairings on the chassis) and special features that help reduce fuel consumption.

Maximum comfort
FORD F-MAX is a car for the driver. Every detail of the new tractor has been carefully designed for maximum driving comfort.
The wide 2.5-meter cabin creates a feeling of spaciousness. The height to the ceiling is 2160 mm - this is achieved due to the flat floor in the cabin.
The developers of the F-MAX paid great attention to creating spacious compartments for storing things - they are made in an airplane style. The drawers are located in different places in the cabin: above the upper berth and above the windshield (3 pieces each). There is also storage space under the lower bunk, accessible both from the cab and from the outside on both sides of the tractor.
Thanks to an innovative design, the upper berth in the FORD F-MAX folds completely vertically. Large comfortable mattresses equip both the upper and lower berths.
The new mainline tractor has excellent vibroacoustic parameters. Silence in the cabin is achieved due to its rigidity, low engine noise and sound-absorbing interior trim.
For maximum comfort, the driver's seat already in the basic version has air suspension with a range of longitudinal adjustment of 260 mm, lumbar support and heating.
A 38-liter refrigerator is necessarily included in the basic configuration of the tractor.
FORD F-MAX tractors are supplied to the market of Belarus and Russia in a special version for cold conditions: the package includes additional wall insulation and two heaters – “dry” and “wet”.
Maximum technology
Thanks to the new ConecTruck feature, you can monitor your vehicle from anywhere in the world.
The car is equipped with predictive cruise control (PCC), which uses special topographic maps and is able to analyze road conditions in order to select the optimal speed. This allows for a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 4%.
Comfortable driving of the FORD F-MAX is also achieved through adaptive cruise control (ACC), emergency braking systems, hill start assist, lane departure warning and other functions.
The 8-inch TFT display displays various useful information from tire pressure to driver performance assessment. The car is also equipped with a multimedia system with a built-in navigator with Internet access.
The new FORD F-MAX features striking headlights with a choice of halogen or LED lamps, daytime running lights that illuminate the road as brightly as possible, and turn-zone lighting functions. In combination with the main wide-angle mirrors equipped with electrical heating, this greatly facilitates the driver’s control of the car.

At the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hannover, Ford presented a prototype of the electric Ford F-Vision Future Truck. Many visitors immediately noted some similarity in the designs with the Tesla Semi electric truck - streamlined shapes improve aerodynamic properties and smooth out the external individuality, but the company decided not to disclose technical details and the date of the concept's release to the market.
The creation of the Ford F-Vision Future Truck prototype was carried out by the Turkish automaker Ford Otosan, which is a joint venture of the Turkish company Koc Holding and the American corporation Ford.
The creators of the concept will receive a fourth-level autonomous control system (Level 4), which, together with an electric transmission, should allow the truck to choose the optimal driving mode, taking into account various situations on the highways.
To demonstrate the concept, the company’s engineers were able to not only create a rendering, but also build a full-size mock-up of the truck, which was demonstrated at the exhibition. However, the timing of the production launch of a truck based on this concept was not announced.
Tinted glass in unmanned mode
Since we are talking primarily about design development, the creators of the Ford F-Vision electric truck did not even disclose approximate technical specifications. All they managed to learn at the exhibition stand was that the truck will be fully electric and will receive a Level 4 autonomous control system, which will allow it to independently carry out cargo transportation.
Externally, the electric truck features a distinctive design inspired by the characters of Marvel comics (referring to their ability to adapt to the environment). As a result, the Ford F-Vision received advanced aerodynamics, a panoramic windshield, LED headlights and taillights.
Access to the aerodynamic cabin will be via sliding doors at the very bottom of the truck. The front panel of the truck will feature not only complex-shaped LED headlights, but also a special “interactive screen” that will display various information for pedestrians and other road users.
In driverless mode, the windshield will automatically darken to the same silver color as the body paint, giving the cabin an "all-metal" appearance.
It should be noted that Ford Otosan also developed, complete with the tractor, the design of the same futuristic trailer of an unusual shape with hidden wheel arches, which not only looks like it, but also allows it not to spoil the overall aerodynamics of the loaded vehicle.

It is known for sure that the Ford F-Vision will be powered by an electric propulsion system, but its power, as well as battery capacity and range have not yet been announced. One press statement stated an expected base price of $150,000 per vehicle, but figures may change before production is available.
Let us remind you that the company's first electric truck, Tesla Semi, with a range of about 800 km, is equipped with four electric motors that allow it to accelerate to 100 km/h when loaded in just 20 seconds. The first deliveries to customers are expected in 2020.

The Ford Heavy Trucks division in Russia presented at the 12th international specialized exhibition “Commercial Vehicles 2013” (Moscow, September 9-13) a new long-haul tractor, the Ford Cargo 1846T, production of which started last spring at the Ford Otosan plant in the Turkish city of İnönü. The Blue Oval has high hopes for this car - it has been developed to global standards and will be offered in markets around the world. In Russia, the Ford Cargo 1846T should compete with MAZ and the new KAMAZ-5490. According to the manufacturer, the Ford Cargo 1846T is capable of meeting the needs of companies engaged in both domestic and international business. The long-haul tractor is equipped with a new 460-horsepower turbodiesel engine meeting the Euro-5 environmental standard. This 10.3-liter six-cylinder power unit with variable turbine geometry was borrowed from Iveco. Thanks to its high torque (2100 N*m), it has excellent dynamic characteristics and efficiency. As standard, the engine is equipped with a 16-speed manual transmission ZF 16S2220 TO; a 12-speed automatic transmission ZF 12AS2130 TD is available as an option. The cabin is installed on a 4-point independent air suspension and has two versions: “high sleeper” and “low sleeper”. Standard equipment includes: heated driver's seat with integrated headrest and air-suspension lumbar support; steering column with tilt and reach adjustments; electric sunroof in the cab roof; radio/CD/MP3 player; autonomous heater (wet); electromechanical tachograph MTCO; immobilizer; central locking with remote control; external sun visor; spoilers on the roof and sides of the cabin; cold climate package; Illuminated steps to access the cabin. Electronic stability control system ESP, hill hold system, cruise control and engine brake make driving the tractor as comfortable as driving a passenger car. Suspension: front - on parabolic springs; rear - pneumatic on four cylinders with shock absorbers and anti-roll bar.
The following are offered as additional equipment: intarder; automatic air conditioning; autonomous cabin heater (dry); alloy wheels 22.5 x 9.00 (84 kg lighter than standard); chassis spoiler; protection of cabin access steps. The tractor can be supplied with one of five fifth wheel heights: 1050, 1150, 1200, 1250 or 1300 mm. The curb weight of the tractor is 7660 kg. Total weight - 18,000 kg. The total weight of the road train is 40,000 kg. Load on the front axle - 7100 kg. Rear axle load - 11,500. Maximum speed is 110 km/h.
