OROS: sunflower and corn headers – for trouble-free operation!

30.11.2017

Last fall was marked by success for OROS Cornado equipment, the official dealer and manufacturer of headers under the OROS RUS brand. A whole series of demo shows in many “corn” regions clearly showed how effective and easy corn harvesting can be.

Are OROS headers expensive?

As Evgeniy Meshcheryakov, director of Inagrotech LLC, notes, the results shown by Hungarian harvesters more than pay for the difference in price compared to analogues.

– Our immediate plans are to launch a YouTube channel, where you can get acquainted with the work of all harvesters, both Hungarian and Russian. Harvesting equipment will be demonstrated in operation on different combines, in different field conditions, so that all key parameters are clear: speed, humidity, yield. In general, we intend to explain in the most accessible and understandable way what the advantages of OROS are,” says Evgeniy Valerievich.

In November, company representatives are going to the traditional exhibition Agritechnica 2017, where, together with the parent company, they will sum up the results of the year and outline the expansion of cooperation. in Volgograd has developed very seriously over the past few years: in fact, from a warehouse of finished products it has turned into a full-fledged production complex capable of assembling up to 100 OROS corn headers per year. The management of Linamar Khangari did not even imagine that the Volgograd enterprise would take such a pace and be ready to manufacture almost all structural elements on site. Inagrotech LLC hopes that, following negotiations with the Hungarians, it will be possible to obtain permission to independently produce frames for headers, which will reduce the cost of products by another 100-150 thousand rubles.

“When the price difference between our headers and other domestic ones is within 15–20%, this will make OROS products an ideal choice for strong farmers who rely on reducing costs and improving quality,” Evgeniy Meshcheryakov is sure. – In 2020, more than a dozen new farmers appeared among our clients who were disappointed in those “analogs of Hungarian reapers” and other harvesting equipment and appreciated the advantages of the original OROS.

Are there any breakdowns?

Over the past year, the company had one warranty case: on one of the headers, oil leaked due to the oil seal, which caused fogging - which, however, did not in any way affect the quality of the work, but rather related to an aesthetic problem. “Mercedes also break down, this is obvious, the question is how the service department treats the client,” says the head of the Volgograd enterprise with a smile.

Inagrotech LLC pays special attention to quality service: the entire range of OROS headers for any combines is available in warehouses in Volgograd, the village of Dinskaya, Krasnodar Territory, and in the city of Novoaleksandrovsk, Stavropol Territory. Any spare parts and components are available. Consultation on technical characteristics and subtleties can be obtained from highly qualified specialists from the sales and service departments of the official supplier of Hungarian corn and sunflower harvesters OROS.

In addition to expanding the network of representative offices, the quality of service can be improved by regularly improving the qualifications of engineers and managers. At Linamar Khangari CJSC, they consider it mandatory for all employees to visit the main plant: there specialists get acquainted with the production process, learn to better understand the technology, study design features, and give competent recommendations in the field. In 2017, 13 employees of Inagrotech LLC completed such training: designers, marketers, service employees and managers.

Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by qualified service crews. Specialists are ready to provide qualified assistance at any time.

Why are Hungarian reapers better?

– For corn and sunflower harvesters, quality is extremely important, since every 0.1% loss during harvesting results in huge amounts of money. Every owner in such a situation thinks about whether it is worth saving on attachments. Having saved and bought an inexpensive header, many try to get rid of it after a year: losses are not easy to put up with. Yes, there has been no stability in the market for several years now, the price of a header is tied to the euro exchange rate, and it is easy to understand those who want to save money. But gradually Russian agricultural producers understand that harvesting is not an area where savings are appropriate, explains the head of Inagrotech LLC.

The OROS model range is wide enough to satisfy the needs of any farmer. In this range there are headers for both medium-sized combines and powerful rotary machines, headers from “amateur” to premium. Among OROS users there are farmers who have 100 hectares under corn, and those whose areas are measured in tens and hundreds of thousands - such as the holdings Prodimex, Rusagro, Agrocomplex im. Tkachev".

– For example, the OROS SUN header can operate at speeds of up to 15 km/h without loss of performance. It is unpretentious, does not require monthly maintenance and has an exceptional margin of safety - those farmers and agricultural holdings who purchased it admit that after just a few seasons they fully recoup the costs by leveling out losses,” says Evgeniy Meshcheryakov, director of Inagrotech LLC.

OROS SUN (sunflower) is produced in four main versions: 6-, 8-, 12- and 16-row. All headers under the OROSH brand are suitable for any combine harvester and, at the customer’s request, can “match the color” of his machine: the Hungarian company is confident that in such a matter as harvesting crops, there are no trifles, and therefore even the color scheme and quality he watches the painting very carefully.

The main advantage of OROS corn headers - whether they are made in Russia or Hungary - is a high margin of safety and reliability at an exceptionally high harvesting speed. In fact, it is limited only by the throughput of the combine. Thus, at one of the agricultural enterprises it was possible to harvest corn at a speed of 22 km/h, and the only problem was that the feeder chamber of the combine was clogged, while the header continued to mow without changing the quality of harvesting. This makes OROS products especially beneficial for enterprises with large areas under corn, as well as for those who want to minimize maintenance costs.

– Recently, many agricultural producers have begun to move to a new stage of development: now they set themselves not only the task of producing and selling grain, but are also increasingly launching their own processing. And this, willy-nilly, leads them to think about improving the quality of the source material, reducing losses, optimizing work and speeding it up. Those who have already reached this level willingly take OROS headers. It is interesting that livestock farming is also gradually being revived, that is, literally company owners are starting to rely not on crop growing seasons, but on other factors: for example, one of the farms from the Ryazan region recently contacted us and said that it would not buy a harvester after it sold harvest (he doesn’t plan to sell it!), and after he sends the livestock to slaughter. That is, livestock farming has become his flagship, and grain growing is needed for feed purposes,” Evgeniy Meshcheryakov shares his observations.

Does this mean that the “schedule” of the agricultural season will change in the near future or that farmers will switch en masse to purchasing the highest quality equipment? It’s not a fact, but there is definitely a movement in this direction, and experience allows us to track such trends.

Header for harvesting corn brand “NASH-870K”

Header for harvesting corn brand “NASH-870K”

designed for harvesting corn for grain in a unit with a converted combine harvester of both domestic and foreign production.

The “NASH” brand corn header harvests corn, separates the corn cobs from the stalks and feeds them into the threshing device of the combine, while simultaneously chopping and scattering the leafy stem mass across the field, on flat fields with a slope of no more than 8°. The method of aggregating the header is to hang it on the feeder chamber of the combine.

Design features

Stretching channels

Installed on a metal frame, equipped with cast iron rollers with a ribbed and flat working plane (6 ribs on each roller), located under the cone, not parallel, they create the effect of capturing and tightening the stem mass, qualitatively crush the stem mass lengthwise and feed it to the chopper knives, which are located under pulling rollers, that is, simultaneously with the gripping process, it is cut by a fixed stem (5-7cm). The cob is separated from the stem on the cob separating plates and fed to the consular auger using spoon chains. This design sends only cobs for threshing, without overloading the combine with excess stem mass. This allows you to make the most of the throughput of your combine, while saving on fuel.

Pulling rollers

Equipped with removable ribbed plates, due to which the stem is crushed and pulled down to the chopper. To prevent winding of the stem mass, the rollers are equipped with a counter-cutting plate. The roller mechanism has an easily accessible lubrication system.

Chopper Assembly

Active, located under the pulling rollers, consists of a horizontal cutting unit with two self-sharpening double-sided knives, has a row-by-row shutdown mode. Grinds both the stem mass and the weed between the rows.

Drive unit

The header receives through the cardan shaft, from the feeder chamber of the combine through the safety clutch to the header drive. Depending on the brand of the combine, the header has a top or bottom drive. The header drive is equipped with double roller chains with a reinforced link wall.

Safety friction clutch

On drive cardan shafts.
The trigger moment is set by the factory. Does not require daily maintenance. A protective coupling is also installed on the consular auger drive sprocket. Advantages of the NASH-870K corn header:
— Turkish-made assembly units — Classic chain drive — Disabling chopper gearboxes by row — Increased sidewall — Powder painting — Minimal monthly maintenance — Harvesting speed up to 9 km/h

Corn header OROS

Description The header is designed for harvesting corn with maximum productivity, minimal losses and high-quality crushing of the stalk. The header has a reliable design with a special form of self-supporting frame; this design has the ability to adjust row spacing from 70 to 100 cm. The OROS company produces a wide range of headers for any brand of combine harvester, from 2 to 12 row with a folding and rigid frame structure. Thanks to the versatility of the OROS header, harvesting and chopping the stems is done in one pass. Ideal position of the header to the ground surface.

100% crushes weeds between rows. Minimal maintenance required. Large selection of additional equipment.

Longer breakaway rollers with ribbed or knife fins are used to achieve faster harvesting speeds and improve overall productivity.

The efficient stem chopper type HSA, characterized by its high rotation speed, ensures optimal cutting of the stems. The parameters of the stem chopper are ideal (7 cm), even at a harvesting speed of 10-12 km/h. Double-sided knives work directly under the opening rollers; this design feature guarantees finer grinding and uniform distribution of the crushed mass. The knives are made of high-strength wear-resistant steel, which guarantees a long service life.

The header drive is quite simple and highly reliable. The header is driven by the drive shaft of the floating conveyor; safety clutches are installed to prevent overload. The auger has a perfect safety clutch. The roller drive is provided by reinforced roller chains.

Time-tested channels are equipped with a cast iron, ribbed or flat working plane with 30mm or 41.4mm reinforced chain. The reliable drive mechanisms, made of high-strength materials, do not require maintenance, thus facilitating the daily maintenance of the headers during operation. On request, they can be equipped with a permanent or replaceable stem chopper system of types SA and HSA.

DRIVE UNIT

The header receives drive from the drive shaft of the floating conveyor. To prevent overload, there is a special safety clutch in the cardan shaft. The screw has a separate safety clutch. The roller drive is equipped with reinforced roller chains. To minimize maintenance requirements, each drive chain can be equipped with automatic dripping oil lubrication (optional)

DIVIDERS

A significant reduction in the weight of the OROS header was achieved with the installation of plastic dividers. The material is based on impact-resistant, frost-resistant polyethylene with great strength. Thanks to the elasticity of the material and streamlined shape, the likelihood of damage to the cobs is reduced. If desired, metal dividers can also be ordered for the headers.
